fantasy basketball top 2008 nba rookies 11-20
Rookie Rankings 1-10 | 11-20 | 21-30
I’m quite sure you are still wondering where in my rankings are Greg Oden and Michael Beasley. They’re here in my rookies ranked 11th to 20th. Why so low? Simple. It’s because other rookies have been outperforming them so far this season. Oden has shown flashes of brilliance on the defensive end but hasn’t been consistent enough to be relied as your number 1 center. Beasley, on the other hand, hasn’t really impressed me fantasy basketball-wise. Here are the rest of the rookies in my top 20:
Mario Chalmers, Miami Heat
Need steals, threes and assists? Chalmers is your man. He recorded nine steals against the Sixers and he is getting minutes (31).
Greg Oden, Portland Trailblazers
If ever he learns how to defend without getting into foul trouble he could get more minutes and that will lead to better stats. He already has 9 double doubles so let’s just be patient with this guy.
Michael Beasley, Miami Heat
Hasn’t really been a fantasy force so far but it sure looks like he’s going to be good in the NBA. Just like Oden, patience is all we need on this kid.
Jason Thompson, Sacramento Kings
There’s a youth movement going on in Sacramento and Thompson is a big part of it. He’s been giving us points, rebounds and a couple of blocks so far and when Brad Miller gets traded this kid will be a beast.
Kevin Love, Minnesota Timberwolves
Hasn’t been getting minutes lately but this guy can rebound. There was a six game stretch where he had at least 10 rebounds a game.
Anthony Morrow, Golden State Warriors
One of the greatest starting debuts for a rookie of all time where he scored 37 points on 15-20 shooting. If you’re looking for points and threes, this is your guy. Just remember that he’s playing for Nellie.
George Hill, San Antonio Spurs
As long as he gets minutes, this kid will produce. The Spurs won’t have to worry resting Tony Parker if his ankle starts acting up as long as George Hill is there.
Marreese Speights, Philadelphia 76ers
With Elton Brand out, Speights has been producing really well. This guy has been giving fantasy owners blocks, rebounds, points and great percentages.
Brandon Rush, Indiana Pacers
Has got a good all around game and fantasy owners benefited from his points, threes and steals while the other Pacers starters were injured.
Anthony Randolph, Golden State Warriors
Too bad he’s playing for Nellie otherwise this guy would have been a top 15 in my list. 1.1 blocks in 13 minutes..not bad!
