nba playoffs 2009: day 3
In Day 3 of the NBA Playoffs, the Chicago Bulls almost had a 2-0 lead against defending champion Boston Celtics but Ray Allen spoiled it. Great shot for Allen and you should definitely see the recap below. In the other game, it was an easy win for the San Antonio Spurs, who are playing without Manu Ginobili.
(2) Boston Celtics VS (7) Chicago Bulls
Series tied at 1-1
The NBA theme is “Where Amazing Happens.” Well it happened in Boston as Ray Allen hit two big three pointers to help the Celtics tie the series against the Bulls with a 118-115 win. He also got big help from point guard Rajon Rondo who had a triple double with 19 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds to go with 5 steals. This trumped the monster game by Ben Gordon who had 42 points and some clutch three pointers as well.
(3) San Antonio Spurs VS (6) Dallas Mavericks
Series tied at 1-1
A monster game by Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs helped his team beat the Dallas Mavericks 105-84 to tie the series at one game each. There wasn’t much the Mavs could do as he was just unstoppable as he scored 19 points in the first 12 minutes of action. As for the Mavs, it was Dirk No-show-itzki who was present in this game as he was help to only 14 points. Game one top scorer Josh Howard was limited to only 7 points. Look for the Mavs to bounce back in the next game as they try to stop the confidence built by the Spurs that could lead to a momentum in the series.
