The bench couldn’t hold the Detroit Pistons comeback in the fourth quarter so Lebron James, who was comfortably sitting on the bench, had to come back in the game to hold the Pistons off and get a 94-82 win.
“The first seven quarters of Game 1 and Game 2 were tremendous basketball,” James said. “We’re not going to let tonight’s fourth quarter take away from what we’ve done so far.”

LA leads series 2-0

The LA Lakers took a 2-0 lead they were lead by Kobe Bryant’s 26 points and helped tremendously by Pau Gasol’s 22 and Lamar Odom’s 19 points. The Utah Jazz were played better due to Deron Williams’ play as he scored a career playoff high 35 points.

“We played a lot better in Game 2 than we did in Game 1. We still got down by a lot early but we were able to fight back,” Boozer said. “We had chances to win it in the fourth quarter. They just made plays.”

(4) Portland Trailblazers VS (5) Houston Rockets

Series tied at 1-1

Brandon Roy exploded for 42 points as he helped the Portland Trailblazers win their first playoff game in six years. LaMarcus Aldridge also chipped in 27 points in a solid effort by the Blazers.

“We kind of laughed about it, `Man, it’s hard winning games in the playoffs. It takes a lot of work,”’ said Brandon Roy

Rockets center Dikembe Mutombo injured his left leg in the first quarter and left the court on a stretcher after getting tangled with Blazers center Greg Oden.

“For me, basketball is over,” he said.

  1. Yup, Aldridge really outplayed them tonight but the key really was Roy as he played like this just wasn\\'t his 2nd career playoff game. For the ROckets to recover they really need more of Yao but he needs to stay out of foul trouble. Hey, I really feel bad for Mutombo..it\\'s sad to see his career end this way.
