nba playoffs 2009: day 13

May 03, 2009 By: Ongai Category: Playoffs

The Boston Celtics-Chicago Bulls series has been one of the best non-finals series in recent years or even of all time as game 6 became a thriller as it went to triple overtime. The Bulls went on to win this game 128-127.

Derrick Rose scored 28 points and blocked Rajon Rondo’s potential game-winner. He also had big help from John Salmons’ 35 points and Brad Miller’s 23 points and 10 rebounds. But the biggest help came when Joakim Noah stole the ball from Paul Pierce and had a go-ahead three-point play.

“This series is a lot of fun for the fans, the people of Chicago, the people of Boston,” said Noah. “It’s a lot of fun for us, too, playing in environments like this on the big stage. It’s special to be part of this, and I know that it’s a series people will be talking about for a long time.”

The other two series, however, won’t be having a game 7 as the Orlando Magic beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-89 while the Houston Rockets beat the Trailblazers 92-76.
