nba playoffs 2009: day 16
The Dallas Mavericks had an easy time against the San Antonio Spurs in the first round but that won’t be happening again in the second round as they’re up against a stronger Denver Nuggets basketball team.
The Nuggets were too physical as they won 109-95 in this exciting match. In the first half we saw Nene scoring 18 big points mostly on thunderous dunks while the second half it was about JR Smith and Carmelo Anthony.
Chauncey Billups was quiet in this game but his floor leadership was loud enough to help this maturing team win.
The Mavs got close in the third quarter behind Jason Kidd’s three straight 3 pointers but his 8 turnovers were also a reason for the loss.
