Nuggets and Cavaliers are just dominating
Finally, Lebron James won the MVP award and he proved why in the first game as they crushed the Atlanta Hawks 99-72. James showed it as early as the first quarter where he took a charge on a fast break.
“An MVP taking a charge on the break?” Cavs guard Mo Williams said. “That’s amazing. You get that effort from him, how could I not take a charge? The whole night was about him and he came out and showed why he is the MVP—in the first quarter.”
James finished the night with 34 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and added 4 steals. The whole Cavs team looked really sharp even after not having a game in nine days.
“It was unbelievable how sharp we were,” James said. “We just picked up where we left off.”
He was, of course, speaking of the lopsided victories against first round match up the Detroit Pistons.
The Atlanta Hawks will try to stop the Cavs from having their sixth straight lopsided victory when they face in game 2 of this exciting series.

The Denver Nuggets have been so good this post season that they’re just one of the most exciting teams to watch. Why? Is it Carmelo? or Chauncey? I think it’s everybody.
They hustle and out muscle their opponents and the Dallas Mavericks have been feeling that in the second round. When you see Chauncey Billups run down the court to save a loose ball that he could just let go because it was going to be their ball anyway and he still saves it, that’s heart. And when he’s smart enough to know that J.R. Smith is trailing him and waiting under the basket for a fast break layup, that’s smart.
That’s Denver Nuggets basketball.
When you see Carmelo Anthony leading the team in the fourth quarter and helping his team shut down the Dallas Mavericks, that’s what you call game over. And it really was as the Nuggets beat the Mavs 117-105.
