Carmelo Anthony is just big time as he hit a three pointer with one second left to escape the Dallas Mavericks 106-105. It was a controversial win as Antoine Wright was trying to foul Carmelo twice to avoid giving up a three pointer but the officials missed it.
“I have hit a lot of big shots in my short career, but never in a situation like this,” Anthony said. “It was a thin line between 2-1 and 3-0.”
Just after two hours of the game, NBA president Joel Litvin said, “At the end of the Dallas-Denver game this evening, the officials missed an intentional foul committed by Antoine Wright on Carmelo Anthony, just prior to Anthony’s 3-point basket.”
(1) Cleveland Cavaliers VS (4) Atlanta Hawks
Cavaliers leads series 3-0
The Cleveland Cavaliers are really serious in getting back to back sweeps in the playoffs as they went 3-0 against the Atlanta Hawks with a 97-82 win in game three.
This was a tougher game compared with the other six playoff games but King James was just magnificent as he finished the game with 47 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists.
“It’s unexplainable, honestly,” James said. “There’s only a few guys in this league that can get into a zone like that, and I’m blessed to have the ability to be one of those guys.
Josh Smith would agree with this as he said. “LeBron was just out of his mind tonight.”
He truly was as he will try to lead the Cavs to another victory in game four.
