nba playoffs 2009: day 23
It looks like the Boston Celtics just love an exciting finish to their games as they finished game 4 with a buzzer beater by Glen “Big Baby” Davis to win 95-94.
No one on the court would have guessed that Big Baby was going to take the last shot as the ball was originally with Paul Pierce but he got doubled. The only person left that didn’t have anyone guarding him was Big Baby and if the Magic intentionally left him open so that Pierce can’t get a shot then it was a bad move. Because he also made a big shot two plays before that to give them the lead 93-92.
The Orlando Magic in a way left Big Baby open since their game plan was to not let Paul Pierce or Ray Allen have the ball as Magic coach Stan Van Gundy acknowledged that the players exactly did what he said.
“The only guy who made a mistake on the last play was me,” Van Gundy said.

Who would have thought that the Houston Rockets would have won game 4 without Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady or even Dikembe Mutombo. But they just did. They even won by a big margin that embarrassed the Los Angeles Lakers.
Aaron Brooks led the Houston Rockets to a 99-87 victory. He finished the game with 34 points on 12-20 shooting. Shane Battier had 23 points, 11 coming in the last 6 minutes. Ron Artest who had a pretty bad offensive night, also helped his team by limiting Kobe Bryant to just 15 points.
It was just a team effort and it showed that if you have the heart to win then you give yourself a chance to defeating your opponent. This is what the Rockets did. They hustled, got loose balls and they played hard.
