NBA Playoffs 2009: Day 1

In the first day of the 2009 NBA Playoffs we saw a lot of firsts. We saw all star point guard Brandon Roy get his first playoff basket. We also saw D-Rose having the poise and leadership to play like a veteran and lead his team to victory. A great game between the Mavericks and the Spurs was also shown where the Mavericks won for the first time on the road in the playoff since 2006.

This isn’t the first for anything for Lebron James but he showed us why he is the King in leading the Cavs to victory against the Pistons. Although, Lebron just loves the first game of the NBA playoffs. Remember when he had a triple double in his first ever playoff game? Here are the highlights from nba.com. (more…)

The Center of Injuries

When an injury to a team’s starter occurs, it give their back up players an opportunity to shine. I say opportunity because it doesn’t necessarily translate into success. It still depends if he’ll be making the most out of his minutes like what Paul Millsap is doing now that Carlos Boozer is out.
